Sussex Empowered Living, based in Brighton, specialises in providing care and support to adults, who are autistic, have mental health conditions, and/or learning disabilities. This acquisition will strengthen Achieve together’s presence in the South-East; with services already located in the area, we can develop and enhance our offering.
Sussex Empowered Living specifically supports people with learning disabilities and/or autism who are gender exploring, transgender or non-binary, through supported living and outreach services.
Based on continued collaboration with their transgender and non-binary community partners, Sussex Empowered Living’s specialism was developed over time and has evolved into a service that has positive, long-term impacts for each person they support, and as a result, has become known as the most informed and experienced supported living service for transgender and non-binary individuals in Brighton and Hove.
Given our excellent, person-centric support to a number of people who identify as transgender or non-binary, we are delighted to extend our reach in this area and look forward to the opportunity to grow and develop an inclusive space for everyone we support.
