We’re still here, but we’re now Achieve together.
Sussex Empowered living Ltd (SEL) has now become the High Street Brighton service, which is part of, and operated by, Achieve together.
Here at Achieve together, we’re proud to be one of the UK’s leading providers of support for people with learning disabilities, autism, PMLD, deafness, hearing loss, and associated needs. Our organisation has over 25 years of expertise and our ethos has always been to have the people we support and their families at the heart of our organisation and at the centre of everything we do. The transgender, non-binary, gender diverse, and gender exploring specialism at High Street Brighton is something we are passionate about, and we’re dedicated to continuing to explore the expansion of this through investment in additional services, interest groups, and community collaborations. The result of this will enable people we support to develop skills for life and healthy relationships, as well as supporting them to boost their confidence and self-esteem, no matter their gender identity.
We actively encourage and to support people who are transgender, non-binary, gender diverse, or are gender exploring, to access, integrate into, and maintain their connections with the LGBTQ+ community and networks. We act as the link between such communities and services that can offer additional specialised support to our underrepresented individuals who may otherwise find difficulty in accessing this support independently due to their complex needs. These vital links help to create a safe space that empowers people we support who, often marginalised, are transgender, non-binary, and gender exploring, to live a more independent and fulfilled life.
