Our support teams will also work with people supported on an individual basis to develop a plan tailored to their needs. A support plan that identifies what the support team will provide and also what expectations there are for people living will be reviewed on a regular basis. A layered support approach will be offered with support changing to support different or new goals.

What we offer

This home can support 12 people in individualised flats so people can develop their independence. The property also has communal areas so people can socialise if they wish, including a conservatory and front and rear gardens.

The team adopts a person-centred approach to the support provided to people living here.

The home has easy access to the local shops and restaurants, while the extensive community facilities of Central London are easily accessible via public transport. The open spaces of Greendale playing fields and Dulwich Park are also within easy access. The property is located within the Dulwich Village Conservation area.

Lifestyle

We support individuals to plan and organise their own activity timetables and take part in activities that develop social, communication and life skills. These range from support in daily life skills such as shopping through to college placements, voluntary and paid work placements, and leisure activities.

People living here are friendly, and some people prefer socialising more than others, but everyone gets on well. Everybody living here enjoys getting out and about and are always seeking their next day trip or adventure.

Monthly meetings are held here, where people get together to discuss their ideas and express their feelings and opinions. This home enjoys a celebration, and often, people supported will help each other to organise events such as birthday parties, BBQs, and seasonal celebrations such s the Queen’s Jubilee.

People are encouraged to express their rights freely and become contributing members of the community. In our experience, this helps to increase social and emotional well-being and decreases the stigma that can affect people with learning disabilities.
