More about our approach to quality and safeguardingAbout this support setting
Thoughtfully designed for independent living
We offer specialist support for older adults with sensory loss and focus on providing the tools and skills they need to thrive. We are one of very few homes that specialises in D/deaf care and support people from all over the country.
We promote independence, improve communication abilities whilst prioritising personal health and wellbeing, nurturing social and leisure interests. Our garden is a focal point, encouraging our residents to actively care and maintain this space. We love a good party and the summer is full of BBQs, events and when it gets hot the pool comes out to keep everyone cool.

What we offer
A safe and supportive place
Roper House stands out as a premier residential home committed to providing exceptional support. Our home offers primarily ensuite bedrooms and a range of amenities tailored to enrich the lives of those we support.
People supported at Roper House enjoy access to various facilities, including two cosy living rooms with TV and DVD players, a spacious dining area, a separate kitchen, adapted bathrooms, and toilets. Additionally, our home features an activities room, charming grounds and convenient access to a car for outings.
At Roper House, we prioritise independence. Each person supported receives their own set of keys, empowering them to come and go as they please. Personalisation is encouraged, allowing people supported to decorate their rooms and bring their own furniture to create a truly homely environment.
We’re not just participants. We’re planners, presenters, and leaders.
