More about our approach to quality and safeguardingAbout this support setting
Thoughtfully designed for independent living
Oakdale Road is a residential home for adults with learning disabilities, sensory impairments, communication difficulties and complex health needs, including epilepsy. The home uses a person-centred planning approach in order to support individuals to become more independent and achieve their goals whilst playing an active role in their own care.
Support plans will be tailored to the individual’s needs, and people will be supported in identifying and maintaining leisure activities as well as any education/employment placements. The support team is available 24 hours a day, including waking night support when required.

What we offer
A safe and supportive place
Oakdale Road has nine large en-suite bedrooms that can be decorated to individual tastes, including one on the ground floor. The home also has communal areas so people can socialise with others, including a communal living room, dining room, and kitchen. There is also a large garden for leisure activities.
The home is a short walk from Streatham High Street, where a wide range of local community facilities, such as shops, restaurants, bars, and pubs, can be accessed. Streatham has excellent train and bus links into central London and nearby Croydon.
We’re not just participants. We’re planners, presenters, and leaders.

Lifestyle
At Oakdale, individuals are supported to take part in a range of activities that can help increase independence levels, life skills and communication skills. This includes leisure activities such as swimming, gardening, cinema trips, music sessions, cookery, and visits to nearby day centres. People have been on day trips to central London and surrounding towns where there are lots of museums and other attractions.
Individuals are also supported in learning independence skills such as meal preparation, budgeting, self-care, and domestic tasks, which can greatly benefit people in terms of their independence.
