About this home
Homeleigh is a residential home dedicated to supporting adults with mental health needs, learning difficulties, and autism spectrum conditions. Our person-centred approach focuses on achieving positive outcomes tailored to each individual’s unique needs. People supported are encouraged to live as independently as possible, engaging in meaningful activities that help build essential life skills.
The support team is available 24/7, including waking night support, and collaborates closely with people supported, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care.
Homeleigh is a large, newly refurbished Victorian detached house nestled in its own private gardens in Crumpsall, Manchester. The home offers 25 spacious accommodations across three floors, with a mix of single and double rooms. Each floor features a communal lounge, providing people supported with the freedom to move around and explore different spaces, or remain in their familiar surroundings.
Every floor is equipped with a substantial kitchen, diner, and lounge area, designed to help individuals develop their domestic, cooking, and social skills. Fully accessible bathrooms and shower rooms are conveniently located near the bedrooms.
The property also boasts a large, beautiful garden, perfect for relaxation and outdoor activities.
Homeleigh is well-connected, with excellent road, train, motorway, and tram links, making it easy for people supported to access nearby community amenities such as shops, parks, restaurants, and healthcare services.
Lifestyle
Homeleigh is a lively and sociable environment, ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of independent and shared living. We offer a variety of activities designed to enhance social and communication skills, ensuring a vibrant and engaging atmosphere.
Our monthly activity planner features a diverse schedule. Each Wednesday, people supported can partake in afternoon tea, enjoy picnics in the park, or join in on barbecues, weather permitting. Fridays are dedicated to in-house activities like board games, crafts, and bingo, with a special takeaway dinner on the last Friday of every month. We also organize exciting day trips to destinations such as Southport, Scotland, and other interesting locations, offering plenty of opportunities for exploration and enjoyment.
People supported are also supported in developing independent living skills, including cooking, domestic tasks, self-care, budgeting, and meal preparation, with the goal of increasing their independence.
Homeleigh hosts various events throughout the year, including charity fundraisers. For example, a recent picnic raised an impressive £344 for the charity YoungMinds, showcasing our commitment to community involvement and social responsibility.
