What we offer

A safe and supportive place to call home

Brook Lane is a large home with eight bedrooms, each with its own en-suite wet room. The environment has been developed to suit to people with autism in terms of layout, décor and furnishings.

There are several communal areas ideal for socialising, including two living rooms, a dining room/conservatory, a kitchen, a laundry room, and a large garden.

Brook Lane is located in Fareham, which is a 5-minute walk from the Brookfield Community School and Language College. The local shops are within walking distance, and there is a bus service which has good transport links with Hampshire.

Lifestyle

At Brook Lane, people are encouraged to take part in a range of leisure activities in order to boost confidence and social skills. This includes activities such as swimming, day trips to local towns, meals out to restaurants, trips to the cinema and any other activities that people choose to do.

People have greatly benefited from being at Brook Lane, with one person, for example, progressing from eating a very restricted diet to enjoying a variety of foods, which was down to the team’s encouragement and support in the use of practical, visual and structured involvement in meal planning and cooking.
