About this home

Maybank House is a large, detached house for adults with autism spectrum conditions, moderate learning disabilities, severe learning disabilities, complex needs including behaviours that may challenge and epilepsy.

Maybank house provides a person-centred approach, which is tailored to meet the needs of the individual with a high level of family involvement. People are encouraged to be as independent as possible and enrich their lives through participating in meaningful activities both in the service and in the community.

What we offer

Maybank House is a detached house with six spacious rooms situated on both the ground and first floors. There are communal areas for individuals to socialise in, including a living room, kitchen and dining area. The garden is a good size with a patio, lawn areas and areas for plants and shrubs.

The home is near to bus stops, Uxbridge shopping centre, slough shopping centre, Iver flower land, Black park and local park 5, mins walk from the house.

Lifestyle

At Maybank, people are supported to participate in a wide range of activities, including music therapy and gardening.

Individuals are also supported to increase their independence by carrying out tasks such as using the bus, cooking and meal preparation. Individuals are supported in securing education, work and/or volunteering placements and one individual is celebrating having obtained a Level 1 NCFE Award in ‘Preparing to Work with Children.’ This also included a Health and Safety course and a Safeguarding course, which she enjoyed.

People are also supported in participating in local community activities such as bingo, arts and crafts, Zumba, and disco night with local authorities.
