Congratulations to Home Manager Opeyemi Oyinsan on her award at the Bromley Adult Care Awards on 22 June. Ope won The Manager Award in the council’s inaugural awards for adult social care.
The award is given in recognition that Ope has demonstrated a high level of expertise together with exceptional skills in managing the complex business of running two supported living settings. Bromley Council states that The Manager Award winner ‘shows vision in developing person-centred care and supporting staff to meet the ever-changing needs of the people supported’. Ope is Home Manager at Mason’s Hill Supported Living.
The awards are intended to shine a light and formally thank people for the extra miles they go to make sure the people they support are safe, well looked after and able to live their best lives, no matter their circumstances. They celebrate the adult social care workforce across Bromley and highlight the successes of team members in the borough. They also allow the council to show their appreciation for the work everyone is doing.
Ope says: “”It’s a great honour to be recognised in making a difference in the lives of the people we support. This couldn’t have been achieved if it wasn’t for the support received from management and most especially the excellent care and support that the team continuously strive to provide in our services.”
Regional Manager, Nita Sohawon, says: “Watching Ope receive the award will be one of the highlights of my year. Ope had worked so hard in difficult circumstances and achieved so much with the people we support and teams.
