Achieve together sponsored this event, initiated for new MPs to spend time with APPG members and understand more about the sector and its challenges. Two Campaign 4 Change Representatives joined Achieve together for the morning. They had the opportunity to chat to a number of MPs about their specific concerns.
Campaign 4 Change Representative, Crystal Higgins was delighted that her MP, Helen Maguire (Epsom & Ewell), was there. They spoke at length about concerns and challenges, with Helen deeply committed to social care reform. Crystal felt the coffee morning was successful in helping MPs to understand, from her own experiences, what needed to change.
Overall, this was an excellent opportunity to welcome new MPs to the Adult Social Care APPG and hopefully ensure social care is high on the agenda of all MPs.
