The Achieve together Board is delighted to announce two new key Board member appointments. Zak Houlahan has joined as Chief Executive Officer and John Ivers has joined as a Non-executive Director.
Zak has 20 years’ senior management experience, the vast majority of which has been spent providing essential services to the UK local authority network.
Zak’s most recent role has been as Acting Chair & Chief Executive Officer at Enerveo Group. Enerveo is the former multi-disciplinary contracting business of European clean energy utility, SSE plc. In this role he led the operational transformation and significant growth of a national multi-site organisation. The infrastructure solutions and Highways Electrical businesses were engaged in partnerships with multiple nationwide green transition projects and numerous UK local authorities, providing energy savings and new carbon reduction initiatives.
Driving operational excellence
Prior to Enerveo, Zak led business units at Amey local government, TCR Group and several environmental businesses. Therefore, he brings a wealth of hands-on experience in driving operational excellence for all stakeholders.

Key executive roles
John is a vastly experienced and recognised health and social care leader, having worked in a number of key executive roles over the past 17 years. These include Chief Operating Officer at CareTech, CEO of Nestor Healthcare, CEO of Saga Healthcare and COO of HC One.
