No less than four fellow team members took the time to nominate Carlie, showing how much she is valued by those she works alongside. They mention how hard working and enthusiastic she is, her rapport with people she supports, and how she just gets on an does the job well. One person said: “Working with Carlie is a dream. Everything gets done, it’s hassle-free and she is good at her job. She also makes a mean cup of tea.”
Home Manager, Gemma, added: “Over recent months Carlie has faced many challenging times in her personal life and has shown true bravery in continuing to work through adversity. Nonetheless, Carlie is always happy when she arrives on shift, keen to help those she is here to support but also those she works with. Carlie is always willing to do extra shifts to support the home and goes out of her way to think of others.
“Carlie can often be found thinking of fun ways to help those we support outside work hours. This can be bringing in items to support people or suggesting ways to have fun. Carlie is a team player and an asset to our team and I know everyone [at the homes] will want to both congratulate her on winning this and thank her for all her work! Thanks Carlie!”
Carlie said: “Thank you to those who nominated me – it means a lot to know I’m appreciated by those around me. I have learnt so much over the last five years and hope to continue striving and helping those we support.”
