For the team at Hersham Gardens, caring for the people they support is so much more than a job and their passion and commitment is outstanding. The last 18 months has been exceptionally difficult, but despite the additional pressures this team always have a smile on their faces and genuinely care and help not only the people they support, but each other too.
The people they support have said what a difference they have made to their lives, encouraging self-belief, independence and pride. Their kindness support and people centric approach is truly exceptional.
When asked about the Heroes Awards, Service Manager Vicki Mcnally said:
“You feel hugely appreciated and empowered it builds confidence to achieve even more encourages new goals for the whole team and by whole team we mean staff and the people we support as one team. It encourages us to want to continuously improve nothing grows sitting in a comfort zone”.
On the future hopes and aspirations for the service Vicki said they would like to:
“Set new goals for the coming year build independence within the people we support develop and encourage staff empower everyone and continue to be supportive of each other and other services within Achieve together”.
