About this home

Victoria Road is a residential home in Essex for adults with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions and/or epilepsy. The home offers person-centred support plans tailored towards individual needs and focuses on positive outcomes.

People are encouraged to be as independent as possible and to engage in meaningful activities that enrich their lives. They will be supported in maintaining and identifying leisure activities as well as any educational and/or work placements. Team members are available 24 hours a day, including waking night support.

What we offer

Victoria Road is a spacious Edwardian home with five bedrooms and three bathrooms. There are also communal areas so people can socialise with others if they wish, including two large lounges, a dining room and a kitchen area. There is a large garden where a lot of activities take place, especially during the summer.

The home is ideally located a short distance from the seafront and close to local community facilities. There are great transport links, as there is a station close by for easy access to surrounding areas.

Lifestyle

At Victoria Road, people are supported to lead active lives with individualised activity plans in order to develop social and communication skills. Leisure activities that people get involved in include swimming, board games, cooking, day centre activities, and arts and crafts.

The location of the home means that people can enjoy trips to the coast, shops and restaurants.

People are supported to become as independent as possible and with developing life skills such as meal preparation, grocery shopping and personal care.
