About this home

This is a busy and happy, supported living home in Brighton where the manager and their team support eight young adults. People we support have learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, Down’s Syndrome, behaviours that may challenge and other emotional needs.

There’s always something new happening, which is all down to people we support. There are regular opportunities to learn new skills in the home, and people we support make the most of our proximity to Brighton and everything happening there.

What we offer

Warm and welcoming, this is a home-from-home, with eight spacious double bedrooms, shared bathrooms and a shared kitchen. There’s a lift and stairlift, and the property is wheelchair accessible.

People we support at the home all get on well and like to socialise together in the large living room and dining room. In the warmer months, they enjoy barbecues and get togethers in the garden. There’s also a shed in the garden, which is used as an art studio.

We’re lucky with our transport links. There’s a bus stop close by with services going straight into the centre of Brighton. We also have two train stations within an easy distance. Brighton’s famous seafront is only a 20-minute walk too.

Lifestyle

What do people living here like to do? In short, everything! In the home itself, there are weekly yoga, music therapy and boxercise sessions. People we support are always in and out of the home, heading off to college classes, to voluntary jobs in the community, or to exhibit artwork with Rocket Artists, the inclusive artists’ group in Brighton. Other people enjoy street dance and theatre classes, enhancing their cooking skills, or they like to head into Brighton to enjoy the many restaurants, cafés, cinemas and bowling alleys.

We have a strong and supportive team led by the manager, who has worked at the home for over a decade.
